Kennesaw Review seeks exceptional poetry, short fiction, and essays by experienced or emerging writers.

In general, we do not accept previously published work.

Deadlines:
Beginning January 1, 2007 there are no particular deadlines for regular publication submissions. See the Contests page for contest deadlines.

Poetry:
We publish both formal poems and free verse.  Please limit each submission to five poems.

Short Fiction:
We prefer self-contained short stories; however, we will consider excerpts from longer works.

Nonfiction and Essays:
We publish nonfiction and critical essays that reflect our wide-ranging engagement with contemporary literature and culture.

Reviews:
We will consider unsolicited five-hundred-word reviews of works published within the last two years.

How to Submit:
Beginning November 15, 2008, Kennesaw Review will be accepting electronic submissions only.

Please send submissions as Word attachments to kenrev [at] gmail.com.

In the subject line, please include the words "KR Submission:" and the title of your work. Please include your name and the title of your work at the top of the first page of your attachment.

You will receive an autoresponse to let you know we have received your work. Kennesaw Review editors will attempt to reply within ninety days.

The stylebook of the Modern Language Association of America is the standard for the Kennesaw Review.

The Legal Stuff:
The Kennesaw Review reserves rights for first online publication and for possible publication as a compiled annual edition. Copyright remains with the author. Works later accepted or collected elsewhere should be credited as first published in Kennesaw Review. We do not pay contributors at this time.
