Kennesaw Review seeks exceptional poetry, short fiction, and essays by experienced or emerging writers.

In general, we do not accept previously published work.

 
     
  DEADLINES: Beginning January 1, 2006 there are no particular deadlines for regular publication submissions. See the Contests page for contest deadlines. (New contests page will be posted by January 1st).  
     
  Poetry:
We publish both formal poems and free verse.
 
     
  Short Fiction:
We prefer self-contained short stories; however, we will consider excerpts from longer works.
 
     
  Nonfiction and Essays:
We publish nonfiction and critical essays that reflect our wide-ranging engagement with contemporary literature and culture.
 
     
 

Reviews:
We will consider unsolicited reviews. Please send a sample of your review writing.

 
     
 

How to Submit:
Submissions are by hard copy. Manuscripts must be typed, no smaller than 12 point. Do not send disks or e-mail attachments. Submissions will not be returned and will be recycled; therefore, do not send us your only copy.

NOTE: On acceptance, authors will be asked to attached Word documents via e-mail of each work and a brief biographical statement.

The stylebook of the Modern Language Association of America is the standard for the Kennesaw Review.

Include your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, and SASE for our response. Kennesaw Review will attempt to reply within sixty days.

  The Legal Stuff:
The Kennesaw Review reserves rights for first online publication and for possible publication as a compiled Annual edition in CD or print format, or both. Copyright remains with the author. Works later accepted or collected elsewhere should be credited as first published in Kennesaw Review. Although we do not pay contributors at this time, they will receive copies of the Annual, should it be published.
